Email us and we'll add your name to the mailing list for 2017. We will also have an expedition to the Alps with ice climbing, snowshoeing and cross country skiing in 2017.

Now taking bookings for 2017.

Have you got what it takes to cross country ski in Lapland? Make an igloo and sleep in it above the Arctic Circle? Pull all your equipment on sleds?

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to push yourself, learn new skills and survive the extreme cold of the polar regions.

The first few days are dedicated to learning the skills you need to stay alive in this harsh environment. All of which will build to the expedition when we pack our sleds and head off into the wilderness pulling sleeping equipment, food, clothing etc. We'll either build igloos or camp and spend the night in sub zero temperatures in the Lapland wilds.

We'll be running the 8 day expeditions in March 2016, departing Dublin on the 14th and returning the 21st. This gives us 6 days on the snow. The expedition will be based in the Totavaara Lodges. Accommodation is provided here in hostel style rooms. There's no electricity but there is a fantastic traditional Finnish sauna and log fires to keep us warm. All catering is provided but we expect participants to pitch in and help.

We're teamed up with gohop.ie, our travel partners, who will be looking after our travel logistics to get us to and from Finland. Flight bookings for this expedition are made through them so your travel is fully insured.

Full cost for this expedition is €1,400 + flights, approx: €380. This includes almost everything you will need for the 8 days; flights, accommodation, catering, ski hire, sled hire, tuition, camping equipment hire, specialist cold weather equipment hire: down jackets, sleeping bag etc. You can pay for this expedition in instalments.
