Jailbreak
YOUR MISSION: escape from a real Jail! How do you do it? Get as many keys as possible by completing the Crystal Maze Jailbreak type challenges, collecting keys and solving the clues.
Your team must be fast and work together to solve all the puzzles, challenges and tasks because if you don’t win you don’t escape! Jailbreak brings you a unique indoor challenge, set in a real Jail! Available in Wicklow Historic Gaol and Cork City Gaol.
After an initial briefing, each team is allocated their challenge book. This contains information on the 3 parts of their mission. The first part of the Jailbreak event is a series of photos which the teams must find the location of and then answer the relevant questions.
Part two of the Jailbreak sees the teams solve a number of clues which will lead them to various parts of the jail to find the solution to the riddle. For the final part, the teams must complete a number of fun challenges in the jail, these are all fun and non-strenuous. Bonus keys are also scattered around the gaol.
You can complete the Jailbreak in any order you like. We’ll count you down to the finish, after we count all the keys a bottle of champagne will be awarded to the winners.

Wicklow Historic Gaol is located in the centre of Wicklow town which is just over an hour from Dublin City Centre. Free parking is available but you must request a voucher on arrival. Jailbreak Cork City Gaol
Cork City Gaol is located just 10 minutes drive from the City Centre and is easily accessible. There’s plenty of free parking at the entrance to the jail. Click here for Google Map location of Cork City Gaol. Vikki’s Wine Bar is a short stroll away and provides tasty catering options.

FAQs
As the locations are open to the public it’s impossible for us to get early access. However, there are two exceptions:
1> In Wicklow we can start at 3:30pm with the first part of your event running outdoors then going indoors to the Jail at 5pm. You’ll be finished at 6:30pm. This event is a little longer but the same price.
2> Cork City Gaol is available in winter months from 4pm.
Catering is available in Cork City Gaol but it is very expensive as all items are hired in. With both locations, there are very good eateries nearby for after your Jailbreak. The Gaoler Rest Cafe in Wicklow Gaol has some catering options.
No! This Jailbreak event is run entirely indoors and is perfect any time of year, especially winter nights. If you opt for the 3:30pm start in Wicklow then the first part is run outdoors.
No! Everything you need is included you just need to get yourself to the venue. Exclusive location hire, bottle of champagne for the winning team and soft drinks post-event are all included.
Unfortunately not. However, we recommend Tony Doyle Coaches in Wicklow and Bulter Coach Hire in Cork.
Unfortunately not. We hire the jail for a set period and it’s not possible to bring any catering onsite.
Yes, the group must be supervised at all times and there is a 15% discount off the above rates for youth groups.
As both locations are historical buildings and over 200 years old, wheelchair access is limited. Please contact us if you need more info.
For sure! Supporters can enter a team of 4-5 people to compete against other teams. It would make an ideal fun team-building activity.
