On this fantastic two day Mountain Navigation course in the Wicklow Mountains you will learn all the essential skills required to walk safely in the Irish Mountains.
We condense a lot of the skills down and pack in a lot of techniques and tricks in these two days.

We cover map types/scale/features, map reading, self location, distance/duration/direction, timings, feature recognition, pacing, safety and more.
The course is open to anyone over the age of 16 and ideal for anyone with little or no experience in navigation. You’ll learn how to navigate in poor conditions, how to use a compass, what equipment to carry and what to do if something goes wrong. Mountain Navigation Wicklow.
This is not a leadership course but rather a personal skills training opportunity. You’ll learn from very experienced outdoor instructors, many with Mountain Rescue experience.
We run this navigation course in Wicklow exclusively for private groups. You can also hire a guide for private sessions 1 on 1 personalised training. We can also provide this navigation training on any mountain range in Ireland.
