Appreciation of the hills

Welcome to the Louth Leader Partnership Appreciation Of The Hills course. This free course is run over two days in the Cooley Mountains. The course covers a wide range of topics from mountain access, navigation and mountain safety.

Course is now full- to add your name to the waiting list please scroll to the booking form at the bottom of this page. Completing the form does not guarantee a place.

This exciting and informative course is provided by adventure.ie – experts in adventure since 1999. As with all our mountain courses we take a practical hands-on approach to learning. It’s necessary to include some tabletop elements in the course but we’ve found that the best learning location is found in the outdoors. This combined with highly knowledgeable instructors who not only have a passion for the mountains but also love to teach and share their experiences results in a unique learning experience for participants.

Participants are always encouraged to share their experiences and methods with the group. Even we, as trainers, have come home from courses like this having learned something new from participants that we can then share with others.
