Would you like to learn how to start a fire without matches? Build a shelter? Learn the basics of navigation? On our Bushcraft Course you learn all that and more. (This course is also provided privately for groups of 6 or more.)
These are real life skills which can be used in an urban or remote location. We only work with small groups and you’ll get hands on with all the skills.
You’ll need to bring a lunch, a drink and dress for the weather, old clothes are recommended.
Our day-long course covers the following topics:
- Shelter Building
- Navigation
- Fire Starting
- Wilderness First Aid/Rescue Skills
- Leave No Trace / Environmental Issues
This is very much a hands-on course. We spend all day outdoors learning and practising the skills.
We follow the principles of Leave No Trace which mean we keep our impact on the environment to an absolute minimum.
All specialist equipment is included in the above price.

About once a year and we run this course privately for your group of 6 or more.
No. You can bring 16 and 17 year olds but they must be accompanied at all times by a fee-paying adult.
Participants will need to bring:
• Rainwear- top and bottoms
• Hat & gloves
• Lunch and snacks
• Basic first aid kit
We run this course from our base in Glendalough, Co. Wicklow.
